About The Film

DFO Diary (Fire Warriors) is the world’s first feature film inspired by the real-life experiences of a serving forest officer and his department. The film unfolds the untold struggles, sacrifices, and triumphs of the DFO and his Forest Department, who have been on the frontline of conservation for over two decades.

Filmed across the breathtaking landscapes of Ramgarh, Mahesh Khan, Tagore Top, and Binsar in the Kumaon region, the movie offers a rare cinematic blend of authentic realism, ecological storytelling, and thrilling adventure.

More than a film, DFO Diary is a visual diary of courage and commitment a journey into the heart of India’s forests where the DFO and his team of forest warriors battle poachers, timber mafias, raging wildfires, and nature’s fury, not with weapons, but with conviction.

It is a must-watch for students, nature lovers, environmentalists, and every citizen who believes in protecting Jal, Jungle, and Zameen.

The film opens like a diary, with every page revealing a gripping true story of courage, sacrifice, and resilience.

The Five Chapters

Poachers of Ramgarh

Five young trekkers exploring Gurudev Rabindranath Tagore’s ruined house deep in the forest are taken hostage by a notorious poacher gang. In a daring operation, the young DFO and his team fight back fearlessly, rescue the students, and nab the poachers red-handed.

Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam

Inspired by the call of Honourable Prime Minister Narendra Modi ji, a simple plantation drive grows into a mass student movement in the hills of Uttarakhand, where every sapling becomes a pledge to protect Mother Earth.

The Timber Mafia Chase

In a high-stakes operation, the Forest Department chases and captures ruthless timber smugglers who had been plundering the green wealth of the mountains. A real-life cat-and-mouse thriller.

The Shitlakhet Model

Born from the ashes of devastation, this community-driven innovation becomes a turning point in the fight against forest fires. Villagers, youth, and forest officers come together to create a model of protection that inspires the nation.

The Binsar Tragedy

In the sacred forests of Binsar, where endangered birds nest and the holy temple of Van Devi stands, tragedy strikes. Five brave souls lose their lives battling wildfire, their sacrifice forever etched in the memory of the forests they tried to save.

The ❤︎ Of The Story

At its core, DFO Diary (Fire Warriors) is not just a film it is a tribute to the unsung heroes of our forests who risk their lives in silence, away from the spotlight. It reveals:

  • The courage of forest officers and their department who stand as shields, day and night, against poachers, mafias, and raging flames.
  • The fragile beauty of nature, reminding us that once lost, it cannot be regained.
  • The power of common citizens, students, and communities who hold the key to protecting tomorrow.

Every chapter in the diary is more than a story, it is a wake-up call.
A call to rise, to act, and to become a true Rakshak of Jal, Jungle, and Zameen.
